Run Run - a new track by Georgian female musician , with a classical background (also drum'n'bass Radio DJ and a founder of one of the most prolific contemporary educational centers in the region) is brimming with sTia - ish piano nostalgia, simple violin tune, radio glitches, creaks and abstract human voices, making the piece acoustically even warmer.

ELECTRONAUTS 2013 / The Nominees & The Winners

The history of “Electronauts” goes back to 2005, when well-known Georgian producer and anchor, Sergi Gvarjaladze, filmed 52 minute documentary on contemporary Georgian artists where he showcased the anomaly of how new generation of Georgian electronic artists emerged during the electricity crisis of 1990-ies. The film greatly resonated with local society and especially with growing list of digital artists.  The annual “Electronauts” awards was launched in 2007 that awarded Georgian artists in 9 different categories, for the content created during previous 12 months.

Six “Electronauts” awards have taken place since. Awards have stimulated many young artists to be more creative and productive: while there were only 15 participants for the first “Electronauts”, 2013 this figure has grown to 75. Every year new categories have been added and since 2010 awards has an international jury. “Electronauts” has been working closely with all major TV channels and has attracted over 20 different partners and sponsors. To expand the exposure of local artists and the impact of our activities to a wider public and beyond annual awards, the Foundation “Electronauts” was formed in 2011. The mission of the foundation is to cultivate the understanding and appreciation of modern forms of electronic arts while exploring its creative and cultural potential. The Foundation accomplishes this mission through programs and activities that engage local artists and cultural community, as well as the general public. The Foundation works year-round and in addition to annual awards, manages educational and media initiatives, conducts workshops, take part in festivals and collaborate with other organizations to achieve common goals.  

Electronauts 2013 - the 6th annual award ceremony for innovative pop culture was held December 21 in the Eventhall (Tbilisi, Georgia).

Me And My Monkey - P8 (EP FREE DOWNLOAD)

Me and My Monkey is a Georgian project which was formed by Sandro Chinchaladze in 2007 in Tbilisi. In 2008 Gacha Bakradze joined the project and they started performing in front of wide audience as a duo. Duo had successful gigs in Georgia as well as Europe. In 2011 Gacha left Me and My Monkey and soon new member Vazha Marr joined the project. Today Sandro and Vazha are actively working together.
Me and My Monkey doesn't have one specific genre. It is basically mix of indie, electronic and experimental music. The band members make many experiments and their performance is always innovative. That is why the audience constantly have the expectation on novelty. Despite the variousity of style their distorted bass line is well recognized among its listeners.
In 2008 Sandro and Gacha participated in the festival “Rockwiese” in Saarbrucken Germany and Me and My Monkey became known to foreign audience.
Me and My monkey has released two singles “ It's coming back” in 2008 and “Special edition” for “Me” magazine 2009. In 2010 duo took part in the project by Zombie Nation and their remix of the track “ The Mind of Many “ was release by the German record label UKW records on Internet.
From the formation of the project until now the Duo had many successful solo gigs and at the same time has participated in various local festivals. Also they performed twice in electronic music awards “Electronauts” in 2010 and 2011. In 2010 Me And My Monkey was name as the winner the contemporary Georgian music festival “Altervision Newcomers”.
With the new member,Me And My Monkey continues active work and plans to release the album soon.

So here we are a few years later,but where were we before?Lost in different dimensions of war and obssesive disorders,change of band members and many other shattering niuances which led to the Landmark today.With the help of Tornike Gvelesiani our recording manager who produced,managed and even recorded drums on this ep we went back to the past with a little view on the future.Here's our video by Temo Ezugbaia to the single northern lights a song and a place which is once meant to be Landmark's last resort.We can all have a sneak peak at where it started and was pure,naive and honest.Still in this songs, you can sense that the tide is changing,with maturing comes the great darkness,procrastination and indifference to the human kind.We can only expect it to get more corrupted as the sick city is slowly destabilising the idealism and happy endings in which they believed,turning them into narcisistic nihilist assholes,trampling over your ideologies which led to the sickness in the first place.
