Info: The Austin, Texas-based 5-piece of Ramesh Srivastava (vocals, guitar, electric piano), Jason Chronis (bass), Mitchell Calvert (guitar), Matt Simon (drums), and Jared Van Fleet (keyboards) has caused quite a stir over the last several months with their two self-released EPs. Jim Gottlieb, co-founder of Playlouder said, “We were instant fans of Voxtrot after hearing the 'Raised By Wolves' EP and when the 'Mothers, Sisters, Daughters & Wives' EP came along it blew us away. We witnessed how good their SXSW shows were and when we saw them at New York’s Mercury Lounge, that was it!"Originally conceived as an outlet for vocalist Ramesh Srivastava to record a handful of songs he had written, it quickly became apparent that Voxtrot needed to be something more. The band will head into the studio this fall to record a full-length debut, which is tentatively scheduled for release in early 2007.
