INFO: One of the most impressive debut albums I’ve heard this year is Ariel Abshire’s Exclamation Love. Abshire, a 17-year-old singer-songwriter from Austin, Texas, is in possession of a wonderful and versatile voice and a presence that demands your attention. The album is filled with excellent songs (more so on the first half) which bear repeat listens. Hearing her, you can hear echoes of pop, country, Texas soul and more – but it’s all of a piece and it’s all Abshire. This is truly a young artist to watch.
