INFO: She sounds like a cross between Beth Orton and Neko Case. Thanks to a move from Ohio to Seattle, now everybody is starting to take notice.
Kate Tucker and the Sons of Sweden's debut record is starting to gain a lot of momentum, thanks to the slow motion soundtrack that is the track "Faster Than Cars," a song that gently delivers a soft riff on the electric guitar. Soon, a slow/mid tempo feel sucks you in as the band shuffles through a seductive beat.
The new record was recorded in a barn with Ryan Hadlock who has produced Blonde Redhead, The Gossip and The Octopus Project.
Fellow Seattle native Damien Jurado also shows up for background vocals on the track, "In the End."
