Info: The Red Button is made up of Los Angeles-based singer-songwriters Seth Swirsky and Mike Ruekberg. Ruekberg's indie credentials are rock solid: He spent the '90s as writer and singer for an underachieving but beloved band (Minneapolis-based pop-rockers Rex Daisy, who recorded a CD for Geffen Records with producer Paul Fox, only to have the album unceremoniously rejected by Geffen for not sounding enough like Guns and Roses), then moved to L.A. and wrote the soundtrack for an underachieving but beloved indie film (Dummy, starring Adrien Brody, which played almost constantly on cable TV for a couple of years).
